Radiesse Filler

Radiesse Filler

Application Features

Radiesse implant was approved by the FDA and became commercially available in 2006. It is a biological ceramic used as subcutaneous filler, and it has a colloidal in texture. It is soft, does not harden, and is completely biocompatible and biodegradable. The injection is structurally made up of calcium hydroxyapatite. Radiesse is composed on calcium ions and phosphate ions found in the human tissues. When injected into tissue, the stable and smooth radiesse filler will form a framework that allows new collagen to be embedded in the tissue. The solid and flexible structure ensures lasting results without displacement.

On average, the molding effect lasts for 12 months.

New Generation of Radiesse

The new generation RADIESSE activates the body’s natural mechanism and stimulates collagen generation, which promotes the body’s self-generation of miraculous ingredients that immediately eliminate wrinkles. After radiesse is injected, the collagen generation sequence is initiated, and autologous collagen generation is stimulated in the subcutaneous layer, thereby filling fine lines, restoring the face’s volume, and creating natural beauty. /span>

Treatment Process

1. Communicate with the surgeon to determine the site of surgery.

2. Explain preoperative and postoperative precautions.

3. The patient signs the treatment consent form.

4. Photograph the treatment site.

5. Perform cleaning and disinfection.

6. Administer external or local anesthetic injection.

7. Perform radiesse treatment.

8. Photograph the treatment site after surgery.

9. Apply cold press.

10.Make a clinic re-visit and undergo one or two weeks of postoperative tracking.

Precautions

◆Preoperative Precautions◆

1.Injections are not recommended for those allergic to pharmaceutical ingredients.

2. Those with skin allergies or inflammation at the treatment site are advised to first complete treatment before receiving injections.

3.Injections may be administered for pregnant or breastfeeding women, but prior discussion with the surgeon is recommended.

4.Those taking ginseng, fish oil, ginkgo, analgesics, aspirin, vitamin E, or other foods and drugs that reduce blood clotting are more likely to experience bruising, but injections may still be administered.

5. It is advised injections be postponed if you have an important matter to attend to in the week to come.

◆Postoperative precautions◆

1.Immediately apply cold press or apply cold press on the injected site to alleviate redness, swelling, and bruising.

2.Slight numbness at the treatment site may be experienced a few days after treatment, which is a normal phenomenon. Skin redness may last for 3-5 days, but the skin will gradually return to normal color within a week.

3.Gently clean the injection site within 48 hours after a radiesse injection. Avoid rubbing or pressing the site. Apply antibiotic ointment or take oral pain medication as instructed by the surgeon or as needed.

4. In case of subcutaneous hemorrhage (bruising), take care of the problem by following the surgeon’s instructions. Refrain from self-medication and avoid contact with skin care products or cosmetics at the treatment site.

5.Avoid going to hot places or sunlight over-exposure within one week after receiving a radiesse injection until swelling and redness subside.

6.Tightness at the injection site may be felt within 1-2 weeks after treatment, which is a normal phenomenon.

Q&A

Q:What are the side effects of radiesse?

A: Radiesse is a completely biotechnologically synthesized substance. It is a formulation completely compatible with human tissues without causing toxic or allergic reactions to the human body. Slight welling and pain at the injection site are seen in very few reported cases. A small number of patients also experience itchiness, paleness, and other symptoms. The side effects of raidiesse include redness, bruising, and swelling, but the side effects will be stabilized and normal condition will be restored in time. The symptoms are normal reactions after general injections, and complete recovery can be sustained within days. The procedure is not suitable for those with a history of serious allergies or keloid constitution and women who are pregnant and breastfeeding.

Q:What situations are raidiesse injections not advisable?

A:Filler rhinoplasty is not suitable for those who have had rhinoplasty. In addition, the procedure is not suitable for patients with a history of serious allergies and autoimmune disease, keloid constitution, active infections, or acute skin disease, those taking aspirin or warfarin medication, individuals under 18 years of age, and pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Q:Is radiesse a permanent implanted?

A:No, it is not. Radiesse is an implant with lasting results. It is broken down through the body’s metabolism over time. The absorption process varies depending on the metabolic rate that varies from individual to individual.

Q: How many therapeutic sessions are needed to achieve satisfactory results?

A:One radiesse injection is usually needed to see significant results. Finalized molding takes place two days after injection. Re-modification is needed to achieve satisfactory results in very few reported cases. In case of dissatisfactory results or a need to perform filling, discuss with the surgeon regarding desired results. Radiesse is naturally absorbed by the body over time. In general, results can last for about one year.
